Music

From their impromptu street performances to their 239 Grammy awards from 100 different alumni, it’s obvious that students from Berklee College of Music are talented. But in case you needed more evidence, this video of a group of Berklee students singing and playing songs by artists nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards should convince you.

Blending songs from Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams and Beck, the group reminds us of all the hits we loved — and many we may have missed — in 2014.

According to Berklee student Jordan Lipsey, this bouncy mix of tunes isn’t the only video production the students have put out. You can find a whole range of videos on Berklee’s Youtube page. The students put out new videos every week, and cover a wide range of musical and performing styles, including many original student compositions and unique covers.

Not that these guys need any help finding more cool music to play, but how about a Boston Calling mashup next? A Pixies, Tenacious D and Tame Impala medley would be pretty rad.
