Forget Ebola fears, the real disease Americans should be worried about is the flu, considering 200,000 Americans are hospitalized with flu-related complications every year. But Uber is doing its part to stop the annual spread of influenza by delivering free flu shots until 3 PM today, all while donating $5 to the Red Cross for every shot administered.
From Uber’s website:
We’ve teamed up with Passport Health to provide registered nurses ready to deliver flu prevention packs and the option to have a flu shot administered today from 10 am until 3 pm. For every shot given, Uber will donate $5 to the Red Cross to support vaccination efforts nationwide.
So you’re saving yourself the hassle of waiting in line at Walgreens, saving you and nine other coworkers from a miserable winter filled with sickness, and donating to a good cause. What’s there to lose?
