This dad uses strategically placed coffee mugs to turn his kids into superheroes

Lance Curran is a super dad, using cartoon mugs to turn his kids into superheroes.

Curran is the owner and cofounder of Arcade Brewery and warehouse director of Threadless. Some days, before heading off to work, Curran turns his kids into life-sized comic book characters. 

The adorable morning got lots of this past week, with droves of people following Curran’s Instagram starting around July 15. But Curran posted the first #BreakfastMugShot photo to Instagram over two years ago. 

#BreakfastMugShot has since gone viral, inspiring other parents to temporarily turn their kids into cartoon characters. 

The result? An online trend of adorable, tiny humans posing as our favorite pop culture icons.

And just in time for Boston Comic Con.
