There is absolutely nothing spooky about this month’s playlist.
This month’s release schedule is punctuated by new albums from a handful of alt-rock icons. Beck is back with Colors on the 13th, his first proper full-length since the Grammy Award-winning Morning Phase. Liam Gallagher is set to release his first-ever solo album, As You Were, on the 6th. And Billy, er, William Patrick Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame debuts Ogilala mid-month.
Don’t sleep on the rest of the list, though. New albums from St. Vincent and Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile will likely end up on a number of end-of-year, best-of lists. Personally, I’m most excited for Swedish punks Makthaverskan and their album III.
