Boston’s more architecture-conscious residents may finally be getting their prayers answered. On Monday, Mayor Marty Walsh put out a call to re-imagine the look of the infamous City Hall Plaza. According to BostInno, the mayor acknowledged that City Hall inadequately reflects “the kind of next-generation creativity and innovation teeming among its residents and businesses.” More

Mayor Marty Walsh is a celebrity to us here in Boston, but to maintain some visibility to those outside of city limits, he has found ways to sneak some acting into his repertoire as well. Tonight, Walsh makes his debut on Wahlburgers — the reality television show featuring the Wahlberg-owned Boston burger restaurant.

It’s hard to not take this city for granted. For as long as I can remember, Boston has had a very distinctive image: It’s a great place to study or start a business (but not a great place to grow one), charming but not particularly fun, and it draws much of its vitality from its traditional neighborhoods. Living in Boston day-to-day, we start to think of this as some sort of fundamental truth.
