‘Girls’ Season 3 finale: How do they move on from here?
TV

For all of Lena Dunham’s brilliant success with this show, especially this season, I have to admit being disappointed with the third season’s final episode. It’s become clear that Hannah is a yo-yo of good luck and bad choices, so she is either sublimely happy or murderous. Shoshanna has been kicked around all season, and hasn’t been able to get up out of the dust. Jessa has also had a go-around, but it’s her free spirited nature that always pulls her back on balance, and you know she’ll turn out fine. Marnie is a bitch – she’s just a bad person, and there aren’t two ways about it. She’s rotten. More

5 reasons Hannah is no longer the star of ‘Girls’
TV

A couple weeks ago I said Hannah and Adam seemed to be moving past their friends down the slippery slope of adulthood. I take it back. It’s just Adam.

This week’s episode proved Hannah isn’t quite as ready as we thought she was to take on the big, bad world of responsibility. The girl is on a wild ride of self-sabotage that very few people can pull themselves out of. It’s looking less and less like Hannah will be able to, as she continues to alienate every single person who cares about her. More

Shoshanna’s 5 best insults on Sunday’s episode of ‘Girls’
TV

“Beach House,” the aptly named seventh episode of this “Girls” season, takes place in a Long Island home that serves as the Sartrean setting for the unraveling of Marnie’s latest plan: a female bonding sesh. Unfortunately, the weekend barely resembles what uptight Marnie imagined, and while it’s unclear if the foursome were able to prove to everyone “via Instagram” that they “can still have fun as a group,” it’s obvious that the subterranean relationships between these women do exist – even if the girls need to carve each other’s hearts out with razor-sharp words. Spoiler alert: I got a sneak peek at ‘Girls’ Season 3
twitter chatter

Lena Dunham is my hero. Sure, sometimes her Twitter feed surpasses the appropriate level of self-indulgence, and I almost always hate what she’s wearing, but these are not important things in the long run of pop idolatry. I love Lena Dunham because she is nothing but her totally fucked-up, super creative, and unabashedly un-adult self all the time, and her show totally embodies her entire weird personality. This woman will write herself wildly embarrassing (and probably based on real life) roles and scenes, subsequently kick ass acting them out and successful direct her fellow actors. It’s inspiring. She’s a creative genius. Don’t argue with me. Last night, I got a sneak peek at Season 3 of “Girls.” I’ll do my best not to spoil it. More
