It’s been a slow season for “Saturday Night Live.” Nothing to cause a fuss about, every new cast has some growing pains to fight through before they find recurring characters and win the SNL faithful over. But this past Saturday, it seems like the show unwisely ditched a pretty funny sketch loosely making fun of the kids’ show “Zoom,” which many of you may know was produced right here in Boston at WGBH. The skit, which chronicles a show called “Zap!,” toys with the idea that the charismatic child actors on ’90s kids shows were so pumped up all the time because they were pumped with massive amounts of speed. As usual, Tarran Killam leads the way in this clip, but the sketch as a whole is worth a few belly laughs, and a trip down “Zoom” memory lane. More
