James Burrows is a teenager from Guilford, MD. He was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and uses music to interact with and understand the world around him: he has his own Soundcloud page full of songs he’s composed.
Emma Ballantine is a singer-songwriter from the UK. For her latest release, Somebody’s Story, Emma looked for stories to inspire her songs. She found exactly that when she came across the writings of James’ mother Nancy.
The trio started a trans-Atlantic correspondence that eventually yielded “Through Your Eyes,” released–quite fittingly–on the eve of Autism Awareness Month.
