The Cantstanjas are broken up, making “What it’s Like to Die” quite the telling track off the band’s 2013 “The Love EP.” The overall feel of the track is bittersweet. It’s about falling apart, splitting up. “I guess I’ll never know what it’s like to die,” the Cantstanjas repeat throughout the track. The garage rock band from Methuen, Massachusetts was a fun, high energy act, and while “What it’s Like to Die” keeps to the general feel to The Cantstanjas work, the track has an uncommon feel. It was recorded during a pregnant period in the band’s history, and remains an lively, vulnerable portrait of the Indie act.
