Well, I don’t know how much of an art critic I am, but I found this piece to be slightly interesting, but, mainly, something you would probably find in your local college coffee shop. The colors outlining the two men’s bodies are interesting and evocative of channeling electricity. It also appears to be a form of inspirational art, with the one man lifting the other “to the stars.” Part of a series that attempts to create a commentary on LGBT issues, “Lifted to the Stars” is decent enough and for a good cause, but, ultimately, it’s just a piece of art that wouldn’t truly capture your attention if you were simply passing by.
