In a just world these guys would be all over The Bull — the shiny new “country hits” radio station in the crater where ‘FNX and Evolution used to be — but we don’t live in a just world. G-Cubed make quality, rockin’ country that can pull at the heart strings, but they are short on bro-ready cliches and that will keep them out of the running for commercial success. Well, “Shake Like Jello” might veer towards the creepy-male-gaze of bro-country but the image of an invertebrate, gelatinous lady that’s running through our head right now is entirely too hilarious to complain about.
