Painted with a slew of deep resonant colors, resembling the deep blues of the night sky and ocean, and burnt red accents, “A Seeker” portrays a solitary and serene scene of a woman paddling out to a uninhibited ocean. The painting, which is mixed-media on canvas, strives for depth in its form, inviting the viewer to follow the painting’s subject down the middle of the canvas into what seems like the light at the end of the tunnel, but appears flat and two-dimensional. Color palette is undoubtedly the champion in this piece, as the viewers eyes are drawn to the shades of blues, and turquoises that laden the canvas.
