There have been theories in the past that every Seinfeldian depiction of the human condition cartooned by The New Yorker could instead be captioned with “What a misunderstanding!” or “Christ, what an asshole!”—the latter tossed out by Chris Lavoie way back in 2006.

Professional designer and self-proclaimed “lapsed” illustrator Frank Chimero just chimed in with a fresh alternative to any given New Yorker caption. His idea:
Caption every New Yorker cartoon with: “Hi, I’d like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn.”
