The RadioBDC Music Video Roundup is back with videos from Jenny Lewis, Alt-J, Bleachers, and Weird Al.
First up is Alt-J and their new video for “Hunger of The Pine.” The Merucry Prize winners enlisted the help of director Nabil Elderkin, who has worked with everyone from Bon Iver to Arctic Monkeys to Kanye West.
Jenny Lewis plus a few famous friends dressed in drag equals a music video hit. Kristen Stewart, Brie Larson, and Anne Hathaway join Lewis’ tracksuit wearing, breakdancing crew in “Just Like One Of The Guys.”
While not necessarily a music video, Bleachers released a bizarre cable access telethon tited, “Thank You Very Much” in support of their debut album, “Strange Desires.” In one of the most creative PR stunts I’ve seen all year, Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff welcomes guests George Wendt, Alia Shawkat, and Steve Little to his bizarre and mysterious pseudo telethon.
Adam 12 specifically requested that Weird Al be included in this week’s roundup. If you haven’t yet heard, the serial spoofer is releasing 8 videos in 8 days to promote his new album “Mandatory Fun.” The first two parody vids poke fun at Pharrell’s overplayed “Happy” and Robin Thicke’s controversial “Blurred Lines.”
