Everyone’s favorite gentle-voiced, simple-minded shell with shoes on, Marcel, has returned to YouTube after a two year hiatus.
The character, voiced by former ‘SNL’ comedian (and Milton native) Jenny Slate, has a knack for providing simple life lessons in a goofy but endearingly sweet way. Mix it with quirky animation and a human element with an in-on-the-joke interviewer, and you’ve got a recipe for the perfect Monday remedy. The third edition of “Marcel The Shell With Shoes On,” was released conveniently this morning, one day before his first book, “The Most Surprised I’ve Ever Been,” hits shelves. The book was co-authored by Slate and the man behind the camera, Dean Fleischer Camp. Check out the video in full above, and remember what Marcel says: “Life’s a party, rock your body.”
