Friday night, Boston showed its groovy side, putting on a free roller disco party on City Hall Plaza. Thousands showed up to show their tastiest roller rink moves, many in retro garb, moving to the sounds of Dorchester’s DJ Kon. The event was created with the help of Together Boston in order to honor the late great Donna Summer, who passed away last year. Some of Summer’s greatest hits were played, and disco culture was revived in Boston for one hot summer night.
