Boston events

Since it’s inception in 2004, The Magenta Foundation has stood as a pioneer for the continued development of programs and events that promote and foster emerging artists. The arts non-profit will bring its traveling photography exhibition, Flash Forward Festivalof emerging artists from Canada, the UK and the US to Boston for the event’s fourth installment.

Starting Thursday, May 1st photographers, curators, collectors, and photography fans alike will come together for the four-day festival that includes discussion panels, lectures, and several exhibitions showcasing some of the most promising international photographers. Flash Forward Festival brings internationally respected industry professionals, like The New York Times Magazine’s photo editor, Stacey Baker, and local emerging photographers together to share their knowledge about the art form. Programming includes curated indoor and outdoor exhibitions, and galleries throughout Boston.

The festival runs through May 4th at the Fairmont Battery Wharf Hotel in Boston, but several events have already opened and are on display all over the city. For more information about exhibit locations and details, go to Flash Forward’s website.
