“The ground is shaking!” German mountain climber Jost Kobusch observes with a nervous laugh, in a YouTube video uploaded Sunday.

Moments later, Kobusch and and his fellow climbers take cover, enveloped in a flurry of white.

The video captures a deadly earthquake-triggered avalanche on Mount Everest, which killed 18 climbers and seriously injured dozens more. The magnitude-7.8 earthquake has left at least 3,600 dead in Nepal and neighboring countries, according to the BBC.

Warning, the video contains NSFW language.

“The ground was shaking from the earthquake, and as soon as we saw people running, we were running ourselves to save our lives,” Kobusch wrote in the video’s description.
