I got to ski with up and coming big mountain skier and Red Bull athlete Johnny Collinson at Big Sky. He was in town hosting his TV Show World of Adventure. It was fun to rip around with this dude, his speeds were so fast and his air was amazing. Collinson kept me on my toes all day. Check out his video.
YAWGOO VALLEY WINTER FEST
Maybe Yawgoo Valley is a place you have heard of and never visited, but trust me on this: if you are looking for a down home, classic New England event, this is your place and this is the time to go to southern New England. It’s just across the Mass state line and you can enjoy skiing old school style at Yawgoo Valley.
And Winter Fest is coming, featuring an outdoor grill, rail jam, Easter Egg hunt and so much more. It sounds a bit off the wall but hey, its close and the lift tickets are two for one on March 5th in RI!
MIKAELA SHIFFRIN
Mikaela Shiffrin just won her third consecutive Slalom World Championship Gold Medal. No female skier has won 3 back-to-back Slalom World Championship tiles for the last 78 years. She is amazing. Watch this video and you’ll witness one of the best ski racers in the history of the sport. Commentary by Bode Miller.
DRAFTERS AT WATERVILLE VALLEY
Waterville Valley is the birthplace of Freestyle Skiing, hosting the first contest in the early 1970’s. This classic New England resort is turning 50 years old this season. Join the RadioBDC Coors Light Drafters in Waterville Valley this weekend, and don’t forget to pay tribute to the birth place of Freestyle skiing while you are there.
