I just came across this video of a Fox 25 broadcast covering the February 2013 blizzard. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a weather reporter tracking snowfall totals in Worcester and a casual drug deal happening in the background… wait, what?
I mean… it could be that this upstanding citizen of Worcester is just handing his classmate at Clark University Law School some lecture notes from last week’s symposium, but that sure looks like a drug deal, and the Fox 25 anchors’ reactions at the 40-second mark pretty much clinches it.
This video has been making the rounds on a few sites, though the British tabloid Metro is under the impression this video is from New York, the limey dingbats.
Serious question: Do police ever look into stuff like this? Seems like the two gentlemen in the video would be tough to identify, but Fox’s cameras are probably pretty high-def, so anything’s possible. Maybe the sheer perseverance of two men fighting blizzard-like conditions to complete a business transaction led the boys in blue to give ’em a break.
[Correction: An earlier version of this article reported that the scene in the video took place in Harvard Square. We misidentified it as such, the news report video was actually from Worcester.]
