Jamaica Plain-based record store Deep Thoughts is opening up a pop-up shop in Cambridge–or, as they prefer to call it, a “quasi-temporary” location, Boston Magazine reports.
Hey DJ’s & electronic music fans! We just stocked a bunch of crazy new stuff including the new Container LP and 12″s on labels like Sound Stream, FXHE, Dixon Ave, L.I.E.S., Clone, R-Zone, Creme, etc… we’ve marked down a lot of existing stock to make room, and will continue to do so! See ya soon! 💜 – DJ Won’t
According to a Facebook posted from November 12, owners of Deep Thoughts will launch a second location on Norfolk Street in Cambridge, where Tites Tropicals Market used to be.
The shop is slotted to open up on December 1 and will carry “the same kind of amazing, beguiling, enchanting and intoxicating records we have in the JP location, but there will be enough differences to keep folks coming back and forth between both stores,” the Facebook post reads.
The store owner is looking to built up a vast, varied collection of records and encourages folks around town to get in contact if they have any items they think would suit the store well.
“Hit me up directly if you’re looking to get top dollar for your collection,” the post reads. “(None too small, nor too big).”
