Taxi driver Victor Perez Cardona didn’t want the traditional coffin for his wake. Instead, he wanted to be in his cab.
The 73-year-old died of cancer, and his cab was parked at a funeral home in Puerto Rico on Sunday as mourners gathered to say goodbye. Some even sat in the passenger seat.
Buried on Monday, Perez Cardona has been driving a taxi for 15 years and according to El Nuevo Dia, is known as Vitin the Driver. His daughter said Cardona was very passionate about his job and wished that his friends and family would honor something he loved so much.
