Long week at work? Do your liver and brain a favor and grab a coloring book instead of a drink.
On Saturday, November 14, the Prudential Center and Braintree Barnes & Noble locations will be hosting “The All-American Art Unwind” event. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., adults will get an opportunity to create, connect and color with fellow people-of-a-certain-age who want to take advantage of the supposed health benefits of coloring.
Relaxation, improved fine motor skills and renewed focus are all claimed to improve when coloring. Color offerings at The All-American Art Unwind will be designed by Millie Marotta, the international bestseller of Animal Kingdom and Tropical World coloring books. Marotta will also be leading a discussion about the trend of coloring books for adults, a fad that already made its way to a Burlington Barnes & Noble this past summer.
Practice staying inside the lines now.
