Could it be that 2015 is the year that Adam Sandler gives the people what they want and rediscovers some of his classic characters from the ’90s? First, the comedian dusted off his Opera Man character for a short but memorable cameo during SNL40, and now the funny man is getting even more aggressive with his throwback characters.
Sandler took to Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars to continue his famous Happy Gilmore brawl with legendary game show host Bob Barker.
While the two appeared to be banding together for a good cause (Night of Too Many Stars was created to benefit Autism programs), they just couldn’t manage to see eye to eye once again, and before you know it, punches were being thrown.
It didn’t stop there, though. This brawl was epic. Sandler gets Barker in the face with a prosthetic leg, Barker dumps hot soup on Sandler’s chest, Sandler puts Barker’s head through a wall, Barker spits Ebola in Sandler’s face. Both of them meet their demise, die and go to heaven (to help support Autism programs, of course), and even there the two couldn’t help but resort to violence. This is a celebrity beef that may never be resolved, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Night of Too Many Stars airs in full this Sunday, March 8 on Comedy Central.
