Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here’s a playlist of songs from Irish artists for you. I’ll play a bunch of these during Lunch @ Yr Desk on St. Paddy’s Day, and Adam 12 will play some on the Free-For-All that day, too. And don’t forget to join us at the Black Rose at 8 a.m. for our Irish Breakfast!

Boomtown Rats – “Up All Night” – …since you’ll most likely be up all night on St. Paddy’s Day

Ash – “Shining Light” – Catch them on tour with Ride this spring.

The Undertones – “Teenage Kicks” – Best teen anthem evah.

The Pogues – “Dirty Old Town” – If Shane MacGowan has taught us anything, it’s this: brush your teeth!

Dropkick Murphys – “The Dirty Glass” – Consistently sold-out St. Patrick’s Day shows year after year here in Boston.

Sinead O’Connor – “Nothing Compares 2 You” – There was a time when we thought Sinead O’Connor could do no wrong and was oh so cool…until she ripped up that photo of the pope on SNL in 1992.

My Bloody ValentineOnly Shallow” – Dublin’s pioneers of the shoegaze movement.

Stiff Little Fingers – “Roots, Radicals, Rockers and Reggae” – An amazing punk rock band formed in Belfast in 1977. They broke up, reformed, had some line up changes, and last year released their 10th album.

Flogging Molly – “Drunken Lullabies” – This Irish punk band from L.A. formed in 1997.

U2 – “With Or Without You” – You didn’t think we would exclude U2, did you?
