Always dreamed of joining the cast of a Massachusetts-based reality show, but worried you wouldn’t fit in because your last name isn’t Wahlberg? You could have your chance this Saturday in North Falmouth, as the founders of beloved Cape blog “The Real Cape” are holding open auditions for a reality show of the same name.
This isn’t gonna be airing on Barnstable local access television, either. Patrick Bonzagni and Damien Palanza, co-founders of The Real Cape, were approached by Los Angeles-based production company Jeffries Point Productions about the possibility of spinning a reality show off from their blog, which provides humorous observations about everything Cape, from the tourists to the townies. (Their post mocking Buzzfeed’s lame “24 Signs Your Spent Summers on Cape Cod” listicle is especially funny.)
According to an article on Cape News, the audition notice reads like this:
“Do you know someone who you’ve always thought should be on television? Let them know about this casting call so we can find the hidden gems that make Cape Cod the Cape Cod that the rest of the country doesn’t know about. Let’s do this together and show the world what makes us such a great community. Let’s show the world The Cape that has culture, let’s show them The Cape that is thriving, The Cape that we love… The Real Cape.”
Auditions will be held this Saturday, November 29, at The Beach House Restaurant in North Falmouth from 10 AM to 4 PM.
