Last Saturday, Somervillians shared their unrequited love of playing and listening to music from an often overlooked public venue: The Porch. In its fourth installment, Somerville’s decentralized music festival, PorchFest, hosted a slew of Boston-based bands — ranging from bollywood funk, cosmic americana, killer blues, Moroccan, Balkan, gospel, American space rock and clawhammer banjo — as they strummed, plucked, and drummed from the comfort of their neighboring porches.

Check out our video of some of the acts that serenaded passerbys throughout the festival’s participating three quadrants of the city.
