TV Sets: A synopsis of the musical guests to hit the talk show circuit this week.

Last night vinyl connoisseur Jack White stopped by “The Tonight Show” looking very dapper in a silvery suit and Elvis-esque pompadour. White and crew delivered a spirited performance of “That Black Bat Licorice”, from the Grammy nominated album Lazoretto.

After years of spot on Neil Young impersonations, Jimmy Fallon was finally joined on stage by the real deal. Earlier this week the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and “The Tonight Show” host teamed up for a poignant rendition of the 1972 classic “Old Man”.

After performing “Every Morning” for “Late Night With Seth Meyers”, J Mascis performed a web exclusive cover version of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You”. With the help of an unamused-looking Fred Armisen, the Dinosaur Jr frontman gave the song the heartfelt and straightforward treatment it deserved.
