‘Tis the season in which sitting on the couch all weekend is becoming a bit old. Seriously, it would be good for you to get on your feet, get outdoors, and have some real interactions with real people. If you’re willing to put in the effort, check out one of these events. If not, well Netflix is pretty clutch, so I can’t blame you.

Dec. 12 – Bee’s Knees Wine Tasting

Head to Bee’s Knees Supply Company on Thursday for a taste from more than 30 different countries. Buy some bottles as a holiday gift or just get a little tipsy and indulge in some complimentary snacks. Don’t worry, nobody will judge you (6 p.m., $25, 21+).

Dec. 12- PVRPLE

Good Life hosts some of the best dance nights in town and PVRPLE is the trillest. This week, they welcome DJ Scream of Maybach Music Group, who has been behind mixtapes from Rick Ross, Chief Keef, Gucci Mane, and more (10 p.m., $5, 21+).

Dec. 13 – Sand Mountain Opening

Join the Hub Theatre Company of Boston as it presents the opening night of “Sand Mountain,” a pair of one-act plays by Romulus Linney (at First Church in Boston; 8 p.m., free, all ages).

Dec. 13 – Santa Claus Anonymous SnowBall

Dress up and get down to the tunes of wedding band Kahootz, without all the other lame stuff that happens at weddings. Proceeds benefit Santa Claus Anonymous which supports youth programs in the greater Boston area (at Sheraton Boston Hotel; 8 p.m., $75, 21+)

Dec. 13 – Trailer Park Boys’ Dear Santa Claus

Canadian TV funnymen “Trailer Park Boys” bring their schtick to the live stage at the Wang Theatre for “Dear Santa Claus, Go F@#k Yourself,” which is most likely an inappropriate but hilarious holiday treat (8 p.m., $31-65, all ages).

Dec. 12-13 – Ugly Sweater Parties

The trend keeps getting bigger and bigger whether you like it or not. This weekend includes a Rockin’ Ugly Sweater Party at the Landsdowne Pub on Thursday featuring Jukebox Heroes live band karaoke (9 p.m., free, 21+), and on Saturday an ugly sweater shindig at Bee’s Knees to benefit the Paraclete Academy (8 p.m., free, all ages), as well as the seventh annual ugly sweater party at Hard Rock Cafe hosted by the b Positive Project (8 p.m., $20-25, 18+).

Dec. 14 – Davis Flea Vintage Holiday Market

If you’re shopping for the eclectic types, Davis Flea’s indoor holiday market at Arts at the Armory is three times the size it was last year. Come poke around a wide selection of vintage jewelry, records, clothing, and more (11 a.m., free, all ages).
