Poh, a mixed-breed dog from New York City, has been facing health problems since February.
Doctors aren’t sure how much time he has, but his owner, Thomas Neil Rodriguez, wants to make it memorable.
Rodriguez and his fiancé decided to visit different destinations on their bucket list with Poh. “It was a great trip,” he told ABC News. “I got to spend seven weeks with Poh. At first, I did not think he’d make it two weeks, but he did.”
The trip began on March 6 and included 35 cities.
The three of them visited North Carolina, Texas, Oregon, Arizona, and California.
Poh was adopted from an animal shelter back in December 1999. Rodriguez told ABC News that the trip was “a little bit for him, a little bit for me.”
“I am super blessed that I have actually gotten to do this,” the owner said. “People think I take care of Poh, but Poh takes care of me.”
Rodriguez said the trip, which has been documented on Instagram, was therapeutic for Poh.
