Meet Andele Lara, a 22-year-old student and Boston resident who is allegedly pulling in thousands from companies because of her resemblance to Rihanna.
According to a story in the Daily Mail, Lara is mobbed whenever she leaves the house by fans who want to take photos with her. (The accompanying video shows at least a few Brits who were fooled.) Though she continues her studies, Lara says she would consider transitioning into a full-time career as a Ri-Ri doppelgänger.
“The moment I step out anywhere, everyone starts staring and whispering before I get bombarded by strangers asking to take their photo with me.
“This happens every day – It doesn’t matter what I do. I can’t go twenty-four hours without hearing Rihanna’s name.
“I know I could happily give up my part-time job and studies to have a career as a Rihanna lookalike.”
Lara has over 28,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts photos with sponsorship tie-ins, like this post from July for a hair salon.
