Every year during Art Basel, Miami is consumed by art. For one week in December, the city overflows with decorated flocks of artists, collectors, and curators from the farthest reaches of the globe. But like birds, many of these art lovers are just passing through. While in Miami last week, we visited with three artists that have migrated from Boston and nested in Miami. Brian Burkhardt, Juan Travieso, and Adrian Molina first came to Boston to pursue the fine arts education experience at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and launch their careers, but for various reasons, they have all relocated from the northeast to seek new opportunities in warmer climates.
