Spectral Bat is really committed to being non-committal. We’re talking an across-the-board policy of indifference with half-sung lyrics like “the music was not bad” and “the band was pretty good”.   The Illusion EP projects has decent melodies but has a lackadaisical delivery and sonic sameness that wears out its welcome fairly quick. The songs need more dynamics, more energy to really work but I think dynamic-less, energy-less fuzz rock is maybe what they were going for? They cared enough to email us, so maybe they really do have something invested in this music but it is tough to tell.
