Sixty minutes of avant-electronic that’s more into making weird sounds than making new friends? Sign me up! Honestly, this is what I was hoping for when I signed up for this exercise in adventurous review. Don’t get me wrong, I love music, but I really love when people are willing to step beyond the traditionally defined realms of music. Ligaments make some beautifully fluid tones that gets very close to being dance music but aren’t afraid to throw some chaos into the works. Squanto are more ambient, taking pipe organ-esque tones and feeding them back to achieve an aggro New Age vibe. I can’t believe I just typed “aggro New Age vibe”. That’s a weird phrase.
