Lady M is making Boston crepe lovers’ holiday dreams come true

In case you haven’t heard, Lady M–the cult-favorite bakery known for its mille crepe cakes and green tea confections–is opening up a location on Newbury Street in February of 2016, according to Eater Boston. But you don’t have to wait until then to get your hands on their famous desserts.

Starting on December 23, Lady M will have a pop-up in Chinatown where you can pick up cakes, crepes, and other tasty treats on the go, Eater Boston reports.

Following the recent Paris terror attacks, the United Kingdom’s National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (Nactso) issued new guidelines on what to do in the unfortunate event you find yourself in an active shooter situation, breaking their pointers down into three categories: “run,” “hide,” and “tell.”

The Department of Homeland Security’s guide for an active shooter situation (which is especially worth reviewing following Wednesday’s tragic shooting in San Bernardino, California), suggests people “run,” “hide,” and “fight”; instead of “tell,” where Nactso suggests you contact emergency services, DHS suggests you try yelling or improvising weapons as a last resort. In January 2013, local artist Laura Meilman began an ambitious project: Draw all 121 subway and streetcar stations. Earlier this year, after two years of drawing — with a break in the winter of 2014 so her fingers wouldn’t freeze off — she finished the undertaking.

Now, as noted by Universal Hub, Meilman is selling a calendar featuring some of her favorite “T-scapes” just in time for the holidays. More
