It’s like Voltron for fans of British alt-rock: Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Robert “3D” Del Naja and Euan Dickinson of Massive Attack, and Guy Garvey of Elbow are collaborating.

The project? A soundtrack for ‘The UK Gold,’ a documentary that investigates the UK’s tax-dodging industry. The Yorke-Greenwood tracks have more of a solo Thom Yorke feel than a Radiohead feel (or maybe outtakes from Kid A or Amnesiac). And it is a film soundtrack, so short, sparse, scene-setting pieces are the norm. In other words, perfect background music for these last, bleak days of a New England winter where the snow seemed to never stop falling.
