Mayor Marty Walsh is a celebrity to us here in Boston, but to maintain some visibility to those outside of city limits, he has found ways to sneak some acting into his repertoire as well. Tonight, Walsh makes his debut on Wahlburgers — the reality television show featuring the Wahlberg-owned Boston burger restaurant.
Walsh asks chef Paul Wahlberg to be a part of the city’s annual Comic-Con. Despite what the preview may suggest, we have to believe that the Wahlberg family will honor the Mayor’s request.
In this episode, Wahlberg says he’s not “a comic book guy” but ultimately agrees to create a special burger specifically for the convention — even if he does struggle to get into the spirit of Comic-Con.
The restaurant routinely features a burger of the month, so constructing a custom one for a comic convention should be no hassle, right? Perhaps a variation on this month’s “Gronk Burger,” would do? We’ll have to wait and see.
The episode airs tonight at 10 p.m. on A&E.
