Ridiculous

Ariana Grande has a lot of loyal fans, but one Lowell man seems determined to be her biggest, even after reps for the pop star contacted police because of the odd gifts he keeps sending her, including a 42.5-pound pumpkin.

According to TMZ, Lowell police paid a house call to 29-year-old Tim Normandin after Grande’s record label complained that Normandin wouldn’t stop sending gifts. Other than the big pumpkin, some of the other gifts Normandin allegedly sent include:

– 8 Yankee candles
– Dog and cat calendars
– 3-piece mirror set from Kmart
– $200 anklet from Kay Jewelers
– Rock from the White Mountains of New Hampshire

Despite the official warning from the boys in blue to stop sending gifts or face criminal harassment charges, Normandin allegedly vowed to continue his gift-giving. In a cruel twist of irony, Grande debuted the music video to her song “Love Me Harder” today, when clearly Normandin should do anything but.

UPDATE: Lowell Police Captain Tim Crowley responded to questions regarding Normandin, saying Grande’s security reps contacted them after Normandin showed up at one of her shows in New York, sent her several packages and communications, and posted unspecified messages on Facebook. An investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE TWO: A Facebook page appearing to belong to Normandin posted a message this afternoon, thanking everyone for the friend requests, as well as a poem this morning about Grande that ends with the lines “My love sets you free so you can spite me as you please and we’ll hope it works out / But, you’d be best with me, that’s a CERTAINTY, no doubt.”
