This is Layla. She has a small cataract in her left eye.

Since she was 8 months old, Layla has been wearing an eyepatch for two hours on a daily basis. She’ll probably need to do so until she is five.

Despite it being a common condition, her father, Geoff Grubb, saw this opportunity to bring out some color and creativity.

“We bought some patches for her and they were a little weird to look at, so I started drawing on them the next day to make it more fun for both of us,” Grubb told the Daily Mail UK. “She’s too young to really know what’s going on but I always show her the pictures before I put it on. She likes the pictures but she’s much happier when it’s time to take it off.”

She’s still cute as a button though.

Way to go, Dad. These eye-patches are sweet.
