How do you celebrate landing the highest-profile gig in the nation and absolutely nailing it? If you’re Katy Perry, you get a tattoo.
Perry commemorated the performance, which was littered with dancing beach balls and enormous lion puppets, with a small script that read “XLIX” on her middle finger. Classic Katy.
If the lurking Hello Kitty on her other finger isn’t indication enough, the singer is no stranger to ink – she has a number of small tattoos including “Jesus” scripted on her left wrist, a smiling strawberry and peppermint a la “California Gurls” music video, a cherry blossom, a lotus flower, and Sanskrit on her upper left arm.
The only thing we would have loved more would be a full tattoo sleeve featuring these sharks. Maybe next year?
