It was another good weekend for beer enthusiasts as the new Somerville microbrewery, Aeronaut Brewing Co., opened its warehouse doors to hordes of local folks eager to sample the lot of specially crafted brews, including a pale ale, a stout (THE BEST!), “a hoppy table beer” (think an easy-to-drink IPA), a Saison, and two Hefeweizens. The 12,000-square foot space at 14 Tyler St. in Somerville that the brewery works out of not only houses its beautifully designed eight-barrel brewing system, but also acts as an urban farmhouse and rents extra incubator space to startup food manufacturers.
Aeronaut’s convenient location (it’s right next to Brooklyn Boulders) will hopefully become a place where people can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a brewery and turn it into more of a social setting. Here’s a glimpse of some of the grand opening fun that went down Saturday.
