The rebooted Fantastic Four saw its first trailer release today, and it already looks more interesting than the Jessica Alba version.
It’s also somber, the de facto mode of operation for superhero movies following Christopher Nolan’s success with the Dark Knight trilogy. Helmed by Josh Trank, best known for 2012’s Chronicle, the new Fantastic Four follows “four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways.”
They then return to earth to fight evil while also grappling with their new weirdness.
The movie is slated for an August 7th release.
