At the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night, Ellen DeGeneres offered up some inspiring words to the audience after winning in the “Choice Comedian” category.
“I think I want to make sure that everyone knows that what makes you different right now makes you stand out later in life,” DeGeneres told the audience, in addition to wishing her wife, Portia de Rossi, a happy seventh wedding anniversary.
“So you should be proud of being different, you should be proud of who you are.”
