The Dropkick Murphy and the mayor: As Marty Walsh prepares to take office on Jan. 6, he’s recruited an interesting team of advisers to help him make the move. As reported by the Boston Herald, members include various representatives from schools, union officials, police figures, but perhaps the most interesting name on the list is Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey, who will serve on the economic development group. Casey not only howls for the Dropkicks, but owns McGreevy’s, a popular Boston bar, and also runs a charitable foundation called The Claddagh Fund. What do you think, good move by Walsh, or an early attempt to please the young folks?
