It’s an adorable tragedy – Wisconsin woman Diana Moyer was asked to leave a McDonald’s when a customer called the authorities about the baby kangaroo that accompanied her.

According to WCCO, the pet, named Jimmy, was wrapped in a blanket and sat in a baby car seat when the police arrived. Ignoring the fact that kangaroos are known to be aggressive, how incredibly cute does that sound?

Moyer initially claimed Jimmy was a service animal but her husband Larry Moyer later clarified that the pet was in fact a therapy animal to help his wife as she battles cancer.  Larry told Yahoo News, “It’s a friend for her, a companion.” It’s not everyday you see a wild animal domesticated but what’s surprising is Jimmy is only one of five kangaroos the Moyers own. While there are probably laws and regulations for housing such kinds of animals in some states, there is nothing specific about raising exotic pets in Wisconsin.

There were no arrests or fines as the couple voluntarily complied with the cops. But according to Yahoo News, this is not the first time local officials have responded to complaints about the married couple’s pets.

“We are aware a customer called the authorities regarding this incident, who then investigated and took the steps to resolve the situation,” McDonalds said in a statement to WISN 12 News. “Our policy is to make our restaurants accessible to all customers, including those with disabilities and special needs.”

While the safety concerns are more than understandable, how can anyone feel threatened after seeing Jimmy’s face? Just look at how adorable he is.
