We’re huge fans of Boston-based songwriter Christian McNeill, so when he reached out and asked if we’d be interested in premiering his brand new video, of course we said yes.
“Power Lines” is Christian’s first release since 2013. This year, he’s focusing on a series of solo single and video releases and eventually a new full-length album, ‘Trapped on the Planet.’ Here’s what Christian has to say about his latest song:
“The chords and melody came first and when that happens I let my subconscious take over, because I never like to force lyrics into a melody, I like the sentiment to come out as naturally as possible and I feel like that part of my brain is constantly writing and turning thoughts into lyrics anyway. It gave me goosebumps when I realized what I was saying. A sad song but one that is very special to me. Also, I feel that this is my best vocal performance in a recording studio to date.”
