The Boston Yeti has returned.
It’s been frigidly cold in Boston this week. Hypothermia cold. Frostbite cold. “Real feel” temperatures were down in the single digits this morning, thanks to the gusty wind that swept across the city.
But people in town are still drinking iced coffee–and posting the proof online.
Local boy Chris Evans attended the 73rd Golden Globe Awards Sunday to present Spotlight as a contender for Best Picture–Drama. It was fitting, as the movie–based on The Boston Globe’s unearthing of the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal–was filmed and set in Evans’s hometown.
And he said so in his speech: “[The Spotlight Team’s] year-long Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation rocked my hometown of Boston to its core.”
The Instagram account @foodbabyny combines two of God’s greatest creations: aesthetically pleasing food and adorable children. As the handle would suggest, the account moderator typically operates out of New York City. But one time he and his family made a trip to Boston.
And that was the best time.
On Thursday night, Republican hopeful Donald Trump hosted a rally in Burlington, Vermont. Burlington is the hometown of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, whose political career began when he was elected mayor of the city back in the 1981.
