Radio. It’s a form of media we consume. It’s a means of communication. It’s terrestrial. It’s digital. And, for a time, it was the life’s blood of the city of Boston.

Some would argue that it still is, in a way. We’d certainly make that argument here at RadioBDC: we know your new favorite song, we give you an excuse to get out of the house; we connect you to Boston.

And that’s the role that the late WBCN played for years. Two former WBCN jocks, our own Adam 12 and WZLX DJ/APD Carter Alan, explore the connection fostered by radio and the relationship WBCN had with the city of Boston.

Be sure to check out Carter’s book “Radio Free Boston: The Rise and Fall of WBCN.”
