Just when everybody thought Kanye West released the craziest music video of the day, Bob Dylan (finally?) posted a new music video on his website for his 1965 hit, “Like a Rolling Stone.” This ain’t your mama’s average music video, either. In fact, it’s kind of definitely the weirdest thing you’ll see all week.
It’s an interactive video, making it seem as though you’re flipping through virtual TV channels, but every station features a new character lip-synching the words to the song. Cameos include Drew Carey hosting “The Price Is Right,” the dudes from the History Channel’s “Pawn Stars,” Marc Maron hosting a radio show, and hip-hop weirdo Danny Brown. It’s a move that nobody ever expected, it’s weird to watch, and while it’s definitely enjoyable, it’s equally confusing. The most befuddling part is that if you watch the video again, it’s completely different. How the hell does he do that?
Bob Dylan recently released an enormous box set entitled “The Complete Album Collection, Vol. I,” which you can buy here. To watch this bizarre video for “Like a Rolling Stone,” check it out on his website.
