Will Ferrell’s “Anchorman” character Ron Burgundy continues to transition from fictional character to actual media celebrity. Or so it would seem. After endorsing embattled Toronto mayor Rob Ford in song and with an upcoming lecture at Emerson’s school of communication on Thursday, the mustachioed Burgundy sat in a real anchor chair in Bismarck, N.D., to deliver, well, real news. Most impressive, though, is co-anchor Amber Schatz’s poise, as she is seemingly nonplussed by Ferrell’s presence.

Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen of Burgundy on an actual news program during the run-up to the Dec. 18 release of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” He also co-anchored a Canadian curling competition. Below is the full video from Saturday’s broadcast and Deadspin has the Burgundy highlights.
